Honestly: Any USB cable will do that is OKish shielded.
USB either works or does not. It is digital, it does not transport anything analogue that would need superior shielding or protection.
As long as the USB connectors sit snug in their ports you are good.
Buying higher end USB cables is a waste of money.

it worked out at $30 for 2 cables including shipping to the uk. I did use a cheap usb cable with a built in led which was causing me problems a couple of years ago running my audio 6 s/c…these are coloured so I can see where they are running etc in the dark.

And I’m upgrading most of my gear ATM, so do it all at once I’ll be ok for a couple of years again 🙂

No dis-respect meant to Terry because my situation could be shear fluke… but was doing a gig with 2 other dj’s and 2 of us had some weird ground hum. My other half had bought me some DJTT Usb Cables for Christmas that I had never used but were in my bag (always carry spares).. I swapped the cable from my laptop to controller with built in s/card and my hum stopped.

Like I said, maybe shutting down fixed it and maybe my other half is a sucker for paying higher prices but it seemed to work for me on that occassion. Terry please post if what I am saying is wrong because I don’t want to mislead anyone.

recently purchased one for my s4 mk2.
(just check on the straight or right-angled requirement for your purpose)
I must say good stuff and looks sick 🙂

There is no hum in digital… I would rather say that while hooking up the new USB cable you tossed the RCA cables around on the mixer/controllers and hence canceled the hum loop that was lying in there somewhere…. tossing around cables helps a lot of things.

Thanks Terry.. a hint to file away in the brain for next time. One good thing about these forums is you can always learn.
