Oo oo ooo a few of my own…

People expecting you to know everysong in the world and have it and be able to mix it with what you are playinf, like dubstep – spicegirls kinda shizzle

And that a dj is a failed musician….. Ill gladly take someone up on a challenge see who can play bass, guitar or drums better 😉 I played in a heavy rock band for years so gradually learnt all instruments and still play bass and guitar a lot also 🙂

A lot of people ive heard are like djs are people that cant make there own songs or play instruments so they play other peoples songs…

Yeah I can to an extent, but I DJ chart music a LOT (gay bar), and so if there’s a new single out that week, that’s all the rage, and I don’t have it then I’m stuffed. I need to be on top of future chart hits too, I spend so much time reading up on future releases.

Im the same with electro, have several sites to check everyday, email addresses to check for promoters then do a bit of searching on forums to see if anyones mentioned something new… Im the kind of person that has to be first person in my country to drop a song.

Haha power to him! MC’s are my biggest pet peeve, I couldn’t imagine djing with one. I’m playing this music for it to be heard, not to be a backdrop for someone’s “ingenious” rhymes.

Failed musician? Ha. I like how everybody assume that i dont know how to play or read muisc. I play three instruments, compose my own music and sing. How you like them apples!

Ive been told djs are a cheat to the music industry stealing tracks for free from the internet and then destroying them to make them there own and making a fortune of these.
One great reason why a real dj wouldnt do this is who wants to show up to a set and play poor quality music.

Another one was my mother and other family members saying assosiating with the likes of djs and raves will end you up being a drug addict.
If anything this would make me want to try them. But i have never used drugs and dont even drink alchohol. (except for getting on an areoplane)

aha I get that ever so often just because I have a laptop I should have everything. I also get the guestion if I don’t have a song ” Can you look it up on youtube?” fuck no am I going to DJ from youtube 😀 I can make a note of the song and look it up for next time and get it if it’s good.
