DJ? DJs are not musicians, they just press play, there is no skill in that!
Also digital DJs have the computer doing all the work for them! Herp-derp!

I just do that because it makes it absolutely clear what I do.

“You don’t scratch, DJs scratch”. GTFO, they’re turntablists, not DJs (IMHO, turntablism is separate to DJing, the skills are so different, but still similar… like bus-driving and racecar-driving).

I am still Considering what to do with my Name;
I Feel that for DJ’ing I will Keep the ‘DJ’;
But Once I Begin Composing my Own Material; Maybe then I will just go with my Name;
Or even ‘Make up’ something Different; as I have heard that people use Different Names for Different Genres;

However; ‘Stereotypes’ …
Female DJ’s Must have Slept With The Promoter; or This Person; or That Person;
(I am Obviously a Female DJ too; so I am not Presuming Anybody has Done Anything);

A stereotype around my college is:
DJs are stuck up snobs who only DJ to get laid/get famous/etc.

I do it for the music, man! 🙁

Another one more is:
DJs are too cool to mingle with regular people.

That we have every song imaginable that has ever been made and we’ll happily play it at a moment’s notice even if the rest of the crowd will drag us out of the booth and hang us from the highest beam…because you’re so special.

Yep, I have nothing against homosexuals, but people often use the word “gay” as negative, and also you can’t tell that someone is “gay” just because they are DJs 😉
