    Now that totally depends on where you live.
    I had so few incidents with my equipment that I do not insure that. If I rent a PA or lights then of course I want that to be insured, but the rental company takes care of that.
    I do not know any liabilities I would cause as a DJ, other than mental breakdowns hehe

    I recently bought a macbook, solely for DJ business. The dealer had an insurance available for the product, for some extra $$$ (yes thats three digits), and I took it.

    Your most important insurance is, ofc, the backup of the music you have. You have a backup, right? RIGHT?
