32 bpm or % pitch increase? No wonder you are having sound problems. Most software does go to 100% pitch range btw.

I am not sure what you are saying, but if the mix in your headphones sounds good (i.e. using Cue Mix), it should sound good over the speakers.

If you are not using speakers nearby, then latency can become a problem. If you are using the main speakers to listen to the playing track and your headphones to listen to your cue, then you should not use Cue Mix. You have the full cue signal in one ear with your cans and the other listens to the speakers.

If you mix fully in your headphones, you have to move the cue mix button to the point that master and cue sound equally loud (or whatever setting you prefer).

Hope that helps some. Otherwise we need some more information.

Crackling sound can be a latency issue, but it can also be something as simple as bad cables. What version of Virtual are you using and what are your audio settings?

The amount of pitch adjust is adjustable in VDJ 8 – and i think 7 too.

Have you got the “cue/pfl” buttons turned on when you don’t realise? If you are hearing the mix and the pfl signal is could sound off?

    Thank you for your replies
I try to explain my problem again if it was not clear.

1: When I beatmatch a song with headphones, it does not match when I turn on the volume and I hear it through the speakers. Is this a latency problem?
2: I get some kind of wierd distortion or cracking noises. When I apply the settings again on VDJ it’s gone for a little while.

    I’m running version 7.0.5
I use sometimes 32% pitch increase.
My controller is connected with a usb cable to my pc. Is it better to use RCA + speakers directly or is there no difference?

First of all, I would update to Virtual DJ 8. Many more features, better laid out and with better support for later hardware that simply wasn’t released when VDJ 7 came out. Free upgrade for PRO Infinity license holders..

Secondly, Are you using the speaker outputs on your controller to go to the speakers? If you aren’t, why not? That would be the logical way of doing things..

In response to your first point, I doubt that it is a latency issue – if it was latency then the whole audio signal would be delayed and tit would sound correct out of the master out if it sounded right mixed in your headphones correctly. BUT if you were matching what was in your headphones to what was coming out of the speakers AND your headphones were plugged into your controller but the speakers weren’t (or the other way round) then it could well be a latency issue. Try plugging it all into your controller and see if that fixes it.

In response to your second point, I don’t know what might be causing it. Do you hear the crackling through both your headphones and through the speakers? Are they both plugged into your controller? If yes to both, then it is an issue with your VDJ settings. If the answer is no and yes (in that order) then it is a cabling issue somewhere and not VDJ. If it is yes and no (in that order) then it is a problem with your VDJ settings. Plugging it all into your controller may help.

So, in conclusion, I would update to VDJ 8 and then make sure everything is going through your controller.

Crackling sounds would have me looking into latency as an issue.

As I said, 32% pitch increase is so way out of the accepted norm (at 3-5% depending on who you ask) and puts such a strain on your DJ Software/laptop combination, ESPECIALLY when using MP3s, the chances of it producing all kinds of unwanted audible sounds artifacts are overwhelming. And the less powerful your laptop is and the lesser your software, the bigger your problem.

And frankly, if you have to increase tracks up to 32% in speed, I think you might just be better off getting tracks closer to the BPM range you want to be in. But that is just me. Clearly you can make that choice if you want, but realize it does come with technical limitations.
