If you don’t want any extra hardware you’d need a controller with 2 outputs. Route 1 to your speakers and 1 to your computer’s line in. Choose the computer line in as your recording source in Audacity and away you go.

Bear in mind that you are running 2 audio processing programs at the same time so you may find that you get glitchy playback or recording results if your computer isn’t up to the task.

You can buy external recording devices that record to USB without a need for computer – Reloop Tape springs to mind.

Well I would upgrade to a Pro DJ software anyways and the Mixtrack for example can handle both Serato DJ and Virtual DJ Pro. Both can record with the touch of a button.
If you are coming from CDJs prolly a Serato controller will be most easy for you. Check out Numark, Vestax, Reloop and Pioneer DJ for some controller options and when you have but it down to a few you like, ask us again.
