Price Range? If you are in the <$250 I'd stick with the mixtrack.
You can download Serato DJ Intro for free to use twith the Mixtrack Pro. This will get your feet wet with serato.

any thoughts about the gemini cntl 7?? it’s looks pretty sweet, but anyone used it?

I started with a Hercules RMX using VDJ, then got traktor and mapped the RMX for traktor just how I wanted it. You can get one now for a little less than $300. Its a goos start to branch off of. There are inputs for turntables, CJS’s and other inputs so you could build on it later.

thanks i’ve actually been looking at the rmx and the denon mc3000

no problem. I wish I knew about these forums two years ago before I started. I just jumped bought the rmx, and dove in head first. As far as getting something before April, the RMX is at every Guitar Center near me so im sure you could just run in and pick it up.

Use this link http://www.digitaldjtips.com/what-dj-controller/ to weigh your options. I ran through it really quickly and liked what I saw.

the only problem with the rmx was that the jog wheels were so small. if the were bigger it would be awesome.

the jogs on the 4 mix are bigger i think, if you liked the rest of the controller.

    Klara.

IMO go for the MC3000. It has very good sound, metall chassies, great quality in buttons and knobs and good joggs
In a not too big package…. It is built like a tank and will last for very long….

question about the mc3000, when they say it has 2 analogue inputs what does that mean? and also what is ducking when using a mic?

2 analouge inputs means that you can connect any two analouge soundsources to it like for example ´two CD players.

Ducking on mic means that when you talk in the mic it automaticly lower the volume of the music and when you stop talking the music goes back to the volume it was b4. (this is selected on off by a button and is built in to MC3000 so it is not depending on softwarte)

I hope this clares out your questions, otherwise ask again.
