    1) Yes
    2) You can look at the new S8 and S5 controllers if you want an all-in-one for Traktor without jogs. Or you can go modular (both Traktor as well as the Akai ones)
    3) What happened to question nr. 3?
    4) I think if you google or Youtube search for optimize laptop for Traktor you should find lots of info.

    ^ You still have to use a laptop with the s5 & s8.

    You can (have to) use laptop with S5/S8, they are not laptop-less controllers.
