Kill switches … those were hot when putting in three-channel EQs was too expensive. There is nothing you can do with a kill switches you can’t do with fast turn of the EQ button (provided the EQ settings in your DJ software or controller in external mixer mode support full kill).
The Denon’s don’t have kill switches, which is true for the vast majority of other brand controllers (including all Pioneers).
Unless you have a serious (workflow) reason for using kill switches rather than EQ knobs, I’d say it shouldn’t be a deal breaker.
And as stated, there is not so good build quality, there is decent build quality, there is good build quality and then there is DENON build quality.
