I’m in doubt between the Denon MC3000 and the Reloop Jockey 3. After reading tons of reviews, these two seem to be the top products in this price class (around €500). They both have the same features:
    – 2 decks + 2 optional sample decks
    – jog wheels
    – external inputs
    – good build quality
    – stand alone mixer

I used to think about the NI Kontrol S2 as well, but I would like to have inputs as a backup. So the S2 is no longer on my list.

Which of these two would you recommend? I think they are both great controllers and whatever I choose, it won’t be a “wrong” choice, but I would like to know which is the most intuitive controller.

No wrong choice here. Other than CUP and bigger jog wheels on the Reloop they are almost the same. Haven’t try the jockey 3 yet but did try terminal mix 4 and like it, was going to change my mc6000 for it but bought the NS6 instead.

Okay, I know that I should know this, but I don’t. What exactly does the CUP button do? I’ve never used a deck with one I guess…

CUe and Play… it jumps to the cue when you press the button down, and plays on release..

I don’t see the point of having it personally, although I guess it’s to replicate releasing a record.

To the O.P. get the reloop

Thanks for the help, it’s appreciated!
Any chance the reviewer of both controllers has an opinion about this? Especially about the usability of both controllers.

    Hi Zanda,
I use to own the Reloop DDJ2 for a couple of years til the buttons volume knobs broke off more than once. Very hard to find the parts. got rid of it and got the MC3000. All i can say is WOW what a big difference in build quality and sound quality! If you are going to be a mobile DJ, then you need something that is built strong. best of luck!

Mc3000 now £399 so even better value. Solid denon build quality @ a great price.

With regards to your question, i personally would go for the RELOOP DJ3 because of analogue inputs and booth out, although I think the MC3000 has one as i still occasionally play vinyl as well as digital. The MC 3000 is pure digital locking you in so to speak. Can any of you guys tell me if the jogwheels and tempo sliders on the RELOOP DJ 2 ME are any good? Im thinking about that and the RELOOP DJ3 ME although I dont use 4 decks.
