Either one is going to be fine for Traktor.

There are a bunch of threads on this exact debate already on the site. If you use the search function on the site you will be able to get some immediate feedback on a comparison of the two from all of our forum members.

The main question you need to ask yourself is whether you need 2 decks or 4 decks in your mixing? This really comes down to the genre of music that you intend to play as well.

    Prototype,

Both controllers he mentioned are 2 channel controllers.
I think his dillema is choosing with one will be a better fit for him.

    Hi Vinny,

I have the MC3000 and it can be used as a 4 deck controller. it only has 2 channel faders though

Hi I’m interested in getting one for Video use with Virtual DJ as a number of gig’s a re putting pressure on me to go in that direction, I use Traktor at mo, don’t want to spend a fortune (ie serato video) so think this could be my solution.

How are you gettin on with this unit?

    Cheers

It is pretty good and I am in the midst of figuring it out. I have been busy doing a dissertation and I have not had time to really put it through its paces.

I am currently using only 2 channels out of 4, no samples and just some FX. if you are crossing over from CDJs, be prepared to invest some time in customizing the unit to suit your preference or “feel”
