ParticipantJust bought the mc6000 from a company called clever-box on line for £545 including delivery. An absolute bargain!! Should be with me tomorrow.

ParticipantHow does this unit fare against the Reloop Jockey 3?

Reloop does not stand a chance as it is a cheap toy in comparsion to the pro DJ gear from Denon IMO

ParticipantReally? All the reviews I found rate the Reloop highly for its construction. I can see that you are obviously a Denon fan from your sig (and for good reason as I also have Denon gear; DN S 5000 which are rock solid, and also owned Rack mounted 2100 gear which was the same high quality), but is the Reloop really that bad?

ParticipantNo Reloop is not that bad if you compare to others in the same rate of gear.
But Denon is not in that segment of gear so if you compare Denon MC3000 to Reloop Jockey 3
It is like I stated earlier IMO.
It is IMO a bit to compare a BMW, Mercedes or Porche to a cheap Seat or Fiat Unu IMO.
The Seat takes you from A to B but how fun is it compared to a BMW M5??
And when the Seat is to be scrapped the BMW has double time left before it is time for it to be scraped!November 26, 2011 at 7:58 am #10427Phil Morse
KeymasterI actually disagree. The Reloop Jockey 3 is a well made controller. Maybe not as pro as the Denon, but not far behind.

ParticipantThe latest dj tips controller guide gives both 5 stars. I have just bought the mc6000 from http://www.cleverboxes.com for £545 and its a beast of a unit that will take all the knocks. I would agree that build quality is the best of all the units and its got all the inputs and outputs you could ever need. Most reviews complain of it being cramped but it feels fine for my fingers. It has four physical chanels but is not as portable as the reloop. Denon have released new mapping to control sample decks and looping recorder in traktor pro 2 and are starting to advertise it as a pro 2 controller. At bpm I was impressed by denon, vertax and reloop from a build quality point of view. Although I haven’t got the experience of many on the forum, all I can say is I am not disappointed in the mc6000, maybe even more impressed than before. Everything will depend on the cash you have and the portability you need.

Phil, do you know if the issue that was present on release models with the jogs has been sorted on the Reloop yet? I think I am swaying slightly towards the Reloop from the 3000 but I’ll need to test both to make a decision I think.
The build quality looks A1 on both units I’m sure they’re both similar quality.
The decision for me is which layout will work best for my style, and then what price / deal I can get.November 26, 2011 at 6:08 pm #10465Phil Morse
KeymasterThe only slight jog issue I knew of was a mapping thing that apparently has been fixed on Traktor 2.1.1

MemberDoes anyone know anything about a case for the MC 3000? I like the better build quality, but if I can’t safely transport it, what’s the point?

There are different solutions to that problem.
There are different backpacks on the market made for this purpose.
Also there are different hardcases MC3000 comes with a rackmount set if you want to
mount it to a rack case, otherwise I do think it will be OK to put it in a case for MC6000
and use some padding to fill the gap. -
