ParticipantReloop has more features, but Denon lasts forever.
I got a Denon, and its really a great piece of kit, and has served well many gigs.

KeymasterThe Beatmix 4 is fully 4 channel and hence I would recommend it.
You can also easily upgrade it with a reloop Neon later on to expand it without having to invest into a new controller.Yes the Denon is all metal and will prolly survive a small nuke, but the plastic of the Beatmix is the Magnesium re-inforced type they used in the older MacBooks and is really sturdy as well. So as long as you do not drop it from the desk or hammer it, it should last you a long while.

ParticipantI picked up a Denon MC3000 and it’s been my main rig since it came out. I love it so completely, that I wish I could buy 4 more to keep me stocked with backups for a lifetime.
That said, I picked up an MC2000 for smaller gigs and hated it. I hated it because of some very specific things that I perceive to be a problem. I feel that, compared to the MC3000, it doesn’t have the same sound quality. I can hear the difference in the lows and the highs. Also, as it’s usb-powered only, it’s not as responsive as the MC3000. Mind you, I wanted to love the thing. I like Denon and my MC3000 experience was so positive that I bought the MC2000 along with a flight case in the same order (that’s how sure I was when buying it). After a few months, I realized that I was not going to get used to it and ended up flipping it on eBay.
I ended up copping a WeGO3 for my backup/small gig controller. I really feel that it has sound quality that is on par with the MC3000 and I am happy that it’s able to be plugged into a wall outlet. There were a few times that I tried to use it on USB power alone and it’s not as responsive. I’m not saying that these controllers were going to sleep or anything (I know about tweaking the usb so that doesn’t happen) I’m saying that I perceive a difference in the responsiveness of the buttons when running off of USB power alone.
If I were you, I’d get a Denon MC3000 or a WeGo3 and a decksaver. In fact, get the WeGO3 because you can use it with computers or iOS devices.

ParticipantI just realized that I was kinda wrong in my previous post and my OCD is requiring me to clean it up. The short of it is that I feel that the delay I was experiencing with the MC2000 on a Windows laptop is due to Denon’s ASIO drivers. I believe that the WeGO3 didn’t have the same delay because the Pioneer has a better ASIO driver.
Here’s the longer explanation: I bought my MC2000 for smaller gigs then did small gigs for the last 6 months. After the first month on the MC2000 I grew too frustrated by the lag and bought the WeGO3 which had no lag. Originally, I attributed the difference to the fact that you can plug the WeGO into a wall outlet instead of relying on usb power. Recently I switched DJ rigs from a Windows laptop to a MacBook Pro. Mac’s don’t require drivers (ASIO or otherwise) to run DJ controllers and the WeGO3 continued to work like a champ on the MacBook as it did on the Windows machine.
This week I dug out my Denon MC3000 and plugged it into my Windows laptop (the one I always used with that controller before my run of small gigs on the WeGO3). I should mention that I’m still hiding the MBP purchase from my fiancĂ© so I keep the Windows laptop updated and use it for practice sessions (with the MPB stowed in my DJ bag where she doesn’t bother to look;) So that out of the way, I was shocked to realize that there was a noticeable delay in response to button and jog inputs on the MC3000 on the Windows laptop. It wasn’t as bad as I remembered the MC2000 being but after 4 solid months of DJing solely on the WeGO3 (both on the Windows and OSX laptops) I had grown unaccustomed to the MC3000 lag. I was totally bummed by this because my timing was off BUT the next day it occurred to me that the delay may be due to a difference in ASIO drivers between Denon and Pioneer. That evening, I set up my MC3000 on my MacBook for the first time and, sure enough, zero delay or lag at all. The only thing I can surmise from this situation is that Pioneer releases better ASIO drivers for their controllers than Denon and that life really is better on a Mac after all.
Peace

Moderator+1 on the Mac bit
I have played on a Windows laptop with an MC6000 for over a year before finding the cash to buy a used MBP. Never had a problem. So while your conclusion might be right, it is definitely not something general. Also I have not seen that many complaints about this issue on the forums at the time.
Trouble with windows is that so many factors contribute. Always a pain to pinpoint a problem and even then it might be machine-specific.
Oh well, stick with the MBP and you are good to go!

ParticipantI bought the Denon MC2000 , cost 70 dollars less than the reloop beatmix 4, I think that if you install asio4all can help with the delay (lagging) , possibly in a few months i will buy the reloop Beatmix 4, but it will be later , thanks to everyone for their ideas and comments were very valuable and wego 3 never considered as an option , just do not like me, also I was considering the Pioneer DDJ-SB but I’m not convinced with the absence of gain knobs, and the pitch fader is so small, the outputs on the left side not please me, although the knob of filter is a plus, but I do not like the 3 effects of each deck is only operated with one knob instead of having a knob for each effect on the denon MC2000 , and about the filter I thinl I can use the filter effect high pass (on serato) in the denon , however it is a very nice model the pioneer sb , but never finish to convince me , for a few dollars more I leaned on the denon, thats why i choose the denon MC2000 (nice price, nice controller) but i think that the reloop It is also a great option for even slightly more expensive, when delivered me the Denon MC2000 I will comment my first impressions.
Thank you guys.

ParticipantSounds like you got a good deal. Clearly results vary with Windows computers. Do your research but I’m pretty sure that asio4all is only an asio emulator and would actually require more resources and provide lower performance than the manufacturer’s dedicated asio driver.

ParticipantI wanna get a midi controller. Does The reloop beatmix4’s led work on VDJ or should I just buy a beatmix2 instead.
Thanks guysJuly 15, 2015 at 12:32 am #2225081DJ Vintage
ModeratorHi Oscar,
This is the third or fourth post or reply I am reading from you about the same subject, the choice of your next controller. Please stop hijacking all these threads and stick with one post for this topic.
Thank you.
