Do you own all the kit already? If not just buy a 4 Chanel controller. There is now a firmware update on denon site to access the sample decks in traktor pro 2 using a mc6000. You would. Only be paying £670 for the mc6000 compared to £900 to £1000 for the options above.

Alright, today I went for set number two. Got it altogether for 1025€/ 859,503£/ 1.336,31$ due to the crapsh** I had with the VCI-400, and got a ZOMO Bag for the MC6000 for free, so that’s quite a good deal I guess.
😉

So far it works okay, though the Denon MIDI-maps seem to speak kyrillic to me with 0xnB and stuff like that. But I will ask for aid ’bout that in the relating forum.

Thanks people! I feel the Denon setup is an end to the journey, so thank you and dj on!

The first thing to do with your Denon gear is to go to the Denon site of your country and check/get the latest software update. Even if it is bought today it might be shiped earlier than the latest software.
Also be sure to have the latest software update for your DJ software…..
There is also updated .TSI (mapping) files on Denon site that might be a good idea to grab.
Also if you need help take a look at Denondjforums.com

Yeah, was the first thing I did. I could not figure out which firmware version I’ve got in mine, but so far all three had no downs and are working as imagined. I especially fell in love with the (neglectible, and easy-to-miss) Master/Booth knobs on top of the unit, it really makes things easier (how could other companies not get to that solution?).
Only thing that bothers me are the FX knobs going to heavy, one cannot twist them easily, but I think that is a point time will heal 😉 I started mashing up the basic *.TSIs and adjusting them to my needs. Couldn’t figure out that modifier-crap with Traktor so far and some LED-output mapping still won’t work as I want them to, but, hey, after two weeks with Traktor Pro 2 and 3/4 week with the new gear? Way to go, I guess.

I think I can count on you folks when there’s issues with MIDI mapping, aight?

Regards!
