    Hi Dom,

The problem is clear, your serato is in thru mode. In thru mode the sound from your turntables send the actual output from the TTs to your channel. If you have timecodes on, that is the pitched noise you here. This option exists so you can alternate timecode (controlling your digital music files with your tc vinyls) with actual vinyl records.

I found this link http://www.noterepeat.com/products/denon-dj/controllers/524-denon-dj-mc6000mk2-dvs-setup link to a good article with pictures describing exactly what to do.

First make sure your decks are connected to the right inputs on the MC 6000 (phono input), which I think is channel 3&4.
Then make sure the channel selector is on phono and the routing switch is set to “through computer”.
Check your manual for the right descriptions I do not have one in front of me at this time.

Thanks guys, the issue was the USB switch at the back of the unit. It had to be set to ‘Thru to PC’. That link was also helpful Vintage, I spent ages searching for something like it yesterday to no avail so definitely appreciated it…! After a break from vinyl of about 3 years it feels good to stroke some wax once again 😉
