You play exactly what you want to play, pre-programmed or not (as long as it’s something appropriate for a gallery exhibit, of course), and don’t have to deal with requests and the other headaches you get when you’re playing in a club. My set was four solid hours of nothing but deep and tech house and I loved every second of it. You don’t have hundreds of fans going mental and chanting your name and Jesus poses are typically kept to a minimum but, to me, the benefits completely outweighed the costs.
That sounds like a fun gig, you can play almost anything you want that’s more mellow and it’s a great way to meet people too. Never thought of that, I’m totally looking into it now.
