    No I believe Xlr  is all the same size. Honestly never ran into this it just may be a different brand of cable then what you use.

    XLR is always the same.

    However there is a standard called Mini-XLR, but it is rarely used anywhere. Some headphones use it to connect the headphone cable to the headset (reloop RHP-20), but I have not seen it ever in any professional sound equipment like mixers, controllers, etc.
