With the RB 4 (or whatever name or number it gets) bomb dropped (I am thinking full disclosure at Birmingham?), I’d hold off just a bit. Depending on your current situation. If you have a controller that is working for you now, wait a while longer, if you have nothing, then opt for the SX2 or the XDJ-RX I would say. Both above your budget though, so you end up saving up a bit longer anyway.
If you have nothing, you could also opt to get a second-hand controller to tide you over for the next 6 months and then buy the controller you really want based on the information that is available then.
As always, the choice of controllers depends on your workflow, which in turn triggers your choice of software. With this new software coming out, I think it’s prudent to wait a little.
