ParticipantOk so this weeks video blog was a total fail. I got a couple of good shots but over all i am finding it really difficult of editing my own vids lol…
In other news the saturday nights are really popping now at the bar. My last gig though I definately drank more then i should have so never again. Damn these ppl buying me drinks! good thing my friend drove me home after lol… i wouldent want to take a bus like that. In terms of production I’ve been having a really diffuclt time focusing on making that time. in otherwords its really difficult x.x but no worries i am going to keep at it!

ParticipantSo quick update on last week.
Monday – thursday, i spent updated music, and working on a work out mix for a friend of mine (il post it up as soon as its done), Thursday night I went to a preview of ableon live 9 which was fun and i got to meet alot of the people who work with it. i cant wait to get my hands on it. i asked the instructor on what should i focus on when im buying equipment to produce. he said that i just need software and a simple keyboard after that “STOP” until you learn to use the basic tools there is no point in getting anything else. so thats what il do with the addition of the Push by ableton. Friday night I had my show on friday and that was dissapointing… least to say it ruined my mood. it was mainly because ppl didint show up and it was super slow for the first couple of hours until the drunk people from upstairs came down then it was decent but my mood was super killed by that time. maybe im too hard on myself but i need to figure out a way for this promotions stuff :/. and the last thing Dont worry the videos are coming! I actually figured out that I am super camera shy when i record myself lol so its proviing to be difficult maybe not shy but super judgemental of myself. il figure it out ASAP 🙂 happy DJing

KeymasterSometimes things are just slow. Try to have fun anyways. It can happen to anyone and you should not take it personal.

ParticipantFor my wednesday show tonight I am doing something different. I promiced my friend that I would make her a workout mix and I will be working on that Live. I will try my best to explain the process I use to set up a mix. Tune in here: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/vega-party-nation
Any feedback would be great! Starting early today. Otherwise my show is every wednesday 8 – 10pm EST.

ParticipantBack for another week of kicking ass! Short post as I didint do much because it was my birthday WOOT WOOT! but here listen to this while you read. Eargasm in coming:
So I what did I do this week? Not much. I finally bought Ableton 9 Suite with the new incoming Push. I’ve been just chilling and clubbing. I wanted to jump right into ableton but b-day planning came before anything and I had a good 4 days. I basically Partied Thursday – Sunday. I rocked my live wednesday set but now my focus will be a bit different where il probably stream my learning process of ableton. I really sat down with this yesterday (monday) and spent a good 3 hours making sounds and beats. I’m definately getting the hang of it but its still alot to learn! I have my march show coming up and i’m adding on alot more music for my saturday gigs (older hiphop 80’s 90’s). Alright back to music searching, peace! remeber to catch my wednesday show live!

ParticipantJust a quick ting about music production… So i’ve really dived into this whole thing and have been spending alot of my free time making sounds and music with ableton but i am not satisfied with what i accomplish. Why? well I just found the answer and its this:

ParticipantMissed last weeks update so here it is + this weeks 🙂
Too much drama in my life. me and gf have been fighting and finally broke it off. I’l get over it by drowning myself in work. I’ve spent alot of time with ableton recently roughtly 2-3 hours daily and am definately getting the hang of it. I am finding it hard to create melodies that i like but im guessing that it will just take time. I’ve gone out to see a couple of DJ’s live recently and its really starting to sink in that alot of them are just Hype… my mixing (in my oppinion) is no worse then theirs especially the regular club DJ’s in which my mixing is usually better. all thats left for me to do is to bring that hype up and start getting those club gigs. im slowing building and finding connections so hopefully something will become of that. My online show is slowly building as well. not much but a bit and thats great 🙂 ive been experimenting with production stuff live and i think i kinda like it maybe il stick to that or do that every other week. My event is this friday and one of my connections is bringing some guy from Universal studios so i cant wait 😀 this could be something really good for me :). im going to make sure my set is extra sik. and last but not least im working on new biz cards :).
