crossfader broken!

    Did you check that the crossfader curve on the TM is set all the way to the right (cut) and that in Serato the crossfader curve is linear (not cut!)?

    If you set both to cut/scratching then it might actually act up…

    I thought that if i changed it on the controller that it automatically changed it in Serato (via midi signal) No? Please bare with me here Terry………noob alert hahaha

    No need to apologize. Terry never mentioned it when you told us about the crossfader in your OP. I am betting it wasn’t really broken! LOLLOL

    No it was broken, it was crackling when I wiggled it haha.

    Nah I did think about it, but the first error was definitely a broken crossfader, but this now sounds more like software vs. hardware mismatch.

    If you have a controller hardware that supports Crossfade curve adjust (like the TM) then you should never touch the Software crossfader adjust and leave that to linear. The software thing is only for cheap basic controllers that have no crossfader adjust of their own.

    The crossfader adjust is never MIDI on any controller.

    But I don’t think I have ever touched the crossfader curve in the settings……but don’t quote me on that.

    I don’t have my Macbook with me or I would have a look in Serato now 🙁

    I believe there was a known crossfader bug in Serato DJ. I’m not sure if it’s fixed in the newer versions. Have you tried searching their forums?

    Serious I think that was in some version of Itch, but never heard of it in Serato DJ.
