I guess il just have to wait and see. The seller had 100% positive feedback, so gave me a bit of confidence.
    Fingers crossed hey.

I think in your situation buying second hand is a good idea. Easy to turn it over without losing much money if it’s not for you. I got a Twitch second hand and it’s perfect. I am also into high end hi-Fi and most of my gear is second hand. Allows me to get much bigger bang for my buck. Good luck with your purchase, hope you love it.

DJ3 ME arrived yesterday, spent an absolute age trying to update the firmware (which I still havn’t), and mapping it is fine, apart from the jog wheels dont do spin back, which I am working on. But the mapping on reloops website, only works with the updated firmware. Which is annoying.

Looking forward to getting into it and using all its functions.

Cheers for the help, it just looks so much better than my mixtrack pro, so wont get laughed at when I turn up now.

The jog thing will also be solved with the latest firmware.

    hey ess jay,

you seem to be in a very similar position to me having spent a good few months with a mixtrack pro. I’ve have just today bought the jockey 3 me from ebay (although now you have me worried terry!!). From scouring this site and others and youtube with a firmware update (i’ll leave that for another day) looks like a blinding bit of kit for use with Traktor and for my level of skill will be still learning for a good few years. I can’t wait to set it up. You will have to let me know how you get on with it. The reviews from Phil and also ean golden are quite good if you haven’t already seen them.

I use a pretty similar set up to you and so would be really interested what the main differences you have found are

I absolutely loved the DJ3 Me, except I couldn’t update the firmware, (faulty machine) so had to return it to the seller.

However, if he hadnt taken it back, I would be using and enjoying it now, as the vast amount of buttons and options left me trying and learning different things each day. Feels and looks so much better than the MTP, and if mine hasn’t had a problem, I wouldn’t definitely have kept if.

Standalone functionality is also good fun, as I played around djing off of an iPod touch and an iPhone plugged onto the two external channels.

Also the sound card is great. Hope you like it as much as I did, and hopefully keep it for longer.
If I was you I would do the firmware update as soon as you get it.

The thing is, follow the firmware update instructions to the point.
I saw lots of people getting it wrong by overlooking something, pushing a button on the unit while updating etc. the process is very sensitive.
