    Yes, huge difference.

If you go controller -> sats -> sub, your sats will still be doing the frequencies that are supposed to go to and stay in your sub. So you will have the extra low end power, but you will not have the benefit of relieving the sats of that energy-slurping low end so they can do mid-low and low better.

Therefor the proper way to hook this up:

controller -> sub (BOTH channels!) -> sats (use the output NOT the thru connections on the sub). Now the sats will only get the signal above the cut-off/HPF frequency.

    Tips on using the Behringer:
    * don’t use the frequency boost. Those things, especially on lower end gear, usually does more to degrade than upgrade your sound
    * keep cut-off frequency between 100-125Hz. This is slightly on the high side. But with relatively low power sats (15″ but only about 180W RMS0) and with relatively overkill sub (750W RMS), you can afford to have the sub take more of the low-frequency “heat” and thus free up valuable amp power in the sats.
    * when you set up, be sure to try the phase button, stand in the middle of the room. You will hear clearly which is the best setting.

    Hope that helps.

    Greetinx.
