Hi, I too use a DN MC6000 (with VDJ) for Mobile rackmounted into a proper flight case with laptop. Sometimes I wish it was smaller/lighter, but compared to all of the gear I carted around 20 years ago I can’t complain.

I would say stick with what you have. Does the 3000 or 2000 have the through facility? I thought they were usb powered?

The MC3000 is almost exactly like the MC6000 but without the 4 Channels and probably a few features here and there. I’m not sure about the 2000.

The Denons are not really lighter and smaller, I would say you are already on a really small controller and another inch wont matter much. Of course the Denons are quite heavy, but that is because they are built like tanks and can prolly survive a tactical nuke.
So if you are serious about mobile DJing, I would not go smaller. If you just want to go to a friends party and slap a controller in a backpack, then of course you can go lighter and plastic and wont need as good and professional connectors… so you can chose the plastic entry level controllers like a Mixtrack pro, Wee-Go,… but that is near consumer territory.

Yep, stick with what you have. As Coltrane correctly pointed out there is WAY less to carry around these days, so stop complaining roflmao.

Seriously, I had 4 recordcases, each waying a lot more than my flightcase with MC6000 with laptop tray. And that was just my music!

And, good news, if you get one of those little wheelboard, you don’t have to really carry anything. Roll it!
