Hope it works out for you Tyler. Both the Numark and the Akai are both branded towards Serato. Will that be your software of choice or are you going to exoeriment. Iv only used Traktor and now Algariddam Djay Pro for IPad (which I love). What your planning on buying is a cool set up. Iv has cdjs and djm combo and to be honest it was cool to look at but I didn’t really maximise it properly. Then I got a S4 from NI and I got into the controller thing and I love controllers better. I have now just bought a Beatpad 2 and it’s a great bit of kit as I just love playing old skool at home and I love the Spotify integration. For my needs and likes its perfect. Oh by the way I grew up in Doncaster. Remember the BYO? Back in the day that lad. 🙂
One caveat here, the NDX themselves do NOT allow you to use Serato, they are Serato ACCESORY approved, meaning you can use them as long as you also have another Serato approved device like a sound card (Rane/Denon) or controller. So make sure you have all the right components.
