Well, I can speak to the Reloop Digital Jockey – I’ve had one for about 4 months now. I really don’t have any complaints other than one, but don’t know if it’s a software issue. The one thing w/ the reloop that I’ve found is that the support for it is basically non existent. I have had trouble twice now with it just ‘crashing’ to where my comp doesn’t recognize the midi controller. The sound still goes through software wise, but I have to actually restart my computer to fix it. It has done this twice, and both times when I was recording. When I’m not recording I haven’t had any problems…
Other than that, I haven’t had any issues with it. It seems solid, has good mapping to Traktor, and doesn’t have a ‘cheap’ look to it. Mostly metal construction and good response on the jogs.
That being said, I am definitely ready for an upgrade. The main reason is the outputs. Now that I’m starting to get real gigs and play on larger sound systems, the one set of RCAs just isn’t cutting it anymore. I will probably stick w/ this set up for the rest of the year and after the holidays start picking out and saving up for a new controller. For what you are looking to do, I think the Reloop would work well though.
