First off: Serato has no remix decks. So exactly what the F1 does? No.
Serato has a sample player with 4 banks, which is similar to remix decks, but with less slots to play.
For some this is enough, for some not.
In case of Serato you can use any addon controller (or even Serato remote on your iPad) to control all the sampler functions. You have to midi map them yourself, but it is quite easy to do.
I for example use a Korg pad controller for 60 bucks and the iPad remote.

Serato is really weird in that it has four banks with 6 slots while most controllers have 8 pads. Traktor has 16 pads available with four slots with four banks. Even though most controllers only have 8 pads, they are able to use all slots.
You can use the F1 with Serato in midi mode, but don’t expect the same performance as you see in Traktor.

What version of serato has the sample player? I’m planning on getting the ns7fx and was wondering if it would come with the sample player with the software numark will give me.

I’ve been looking around trying to find an add on controller to control mainly looping,FX,and filter. I could find only one the traktor x1. What are other controllers besides the x1 that are capable of controlling the previously mentioned looping,FX,and filter.
    I USE SERATO
