I’ve got the pioneer HDJ 2000’s and I could easily wear them all day long. Same goes for the 1500’s. But the price is extremely steep. I’m somewhat of a connoisseur when it comes to my headphones. Also have a pair of Beats by Dre Studio headphones….they aren’t very durable AT ALL unless u spring for the ultra expensive metal ones. Mine are virtually held together by duck tape. Seriously ghetto. The screws in the plastic headband weren’t large enough for the stress and they shot str8 through the plastic about 2 months after I got them. Mind you these are the 1st gen of beats by dres. When the studio version was the only version. They may have changed since then….and for pure sound quality I absolutely love them. As long as the world has duck tape and the speakers work in them ill cont to use them. Still…for DJ’ing I like something that’s designed to pivot instead of constantly fit flush on both your ears. In the end it’s all up to you….what sounds best a feels comfortable enough for you….while still fitting within your budget. Kinda wished I’d held back on the 2000’s and spent the xtra money elsewhere….but I don’t beat myself up about it. I love my pioneer headphones for DJ’ing. They really thought of everything in their design.

Hey guys, have not been able to purchase new headphones till now. However I was wondering if there is much difference between the Sennheiser HD25-1 and 25-SP? I see the headbands are different as well as the price.

    Thanks, everyone

You should look into the Sony X headphones. They are big because they have 50mm drivers but they are very comfortable and the sound quality is awesome and I wear them all day long and when I go home to practice so I wear these Sony X all day and all night. Think they are like 99$ now but I got mine when they first came out and they was 300$ at the time.

another vote for the hd25’s had mine for years. Every part is replaceable so if they break you just replace that bit. I have not had to do this however.

I have the single piece plastic headband version. IMO the more joints etc on the headband the more chance they will break.

Mine are still going strong albeit with a bit of tape to hold the ear foams on lol, such a cheapskate but the worn in look is far cooler!

I initially bought the SP’s then upgraded to the 1’s. The SP’s are still excellent, very lightweight and comfortable, although you notice the isolation is better on the 1’s. I’d consider buying used if you can, I’ve never used any of the ‘new breed’ of headphones so can’t comment on them, but you soon realise why most of the big names use the sennheiser’s
