I wanted to know what headphones are the best overall for all basic DJ headphone needs but also comfortable for long dj sets in terms of pressure on the head, not pinching your ears too much, and possibly comfy around the neck all while being a reasonable price too if something like this exists? Feedback is very appreciated! Thanks!

This is the only piece of equipment that you need to find yourself. I’ll explain, your head and ears sizes, shape and form are unique to you and only you. What’s comfortable for me may not be for you.

You need to try different options personally if possible for a few days.

My personal are V-Moda Lp, Westone in-ear as back up and Tank headphone as back up for the back up LOL (got those free when I bought the TM4) so no complain here.

That is very true lol. Are either of those that you have sort of light weight? Thats another thing I feel is negative about the HP-700 seem a little heavy/bulky

Even in the highly personal world of headphones, there are a few “standards”, the Sennheiser HD25 IIs is standard kit for most (live sound and studio) sound engineer and many a DJ and producer. There is a reason for that.

They sound great (of course), are relatively small and light, can be configured in several ways (small headband, wide headband, swivel left earpiece) and they can take abuse like nothing else! My set has travelled in my microphone case for the last three or four years, literally squashed between the top of the microphones and the foam on the inside of the lid. Never a problem.
You can buy every component as a replacement part, choose a coil or straight cable and I actually believe they have them with colors now too (but don’t pin me down on that one).

Read up on them, then try them on in a store.

I second the Sennheisers, they are lovely. If you want something cheap as backup the Zomo headphone line is also very nice.

V-Moda….I have the M-100s but from what I can tell, the Crossfade LPs are the same fit. I can wear them for over 4 hours continuously without any ear soreness……….and they sound amazing. The M100s blur the line between DJ and audiophile. Well worth the lofty price. Looking cool is also a plus.

Check Amazon. V-Moda has the LPs for significantly higher prices on their website. I’ve seen them for $99 on places like Amazon.

i am using it for years. awesome sound, metal and plastic construction really comfortable while djing especially for me(i wear glasses) they are the standard dj headphones with standard desing. i use the sennheisers for a few weeks they are also quite amazing due to their small size

In my opinion, they sound good and are comfortable. However they are fragile.

I had a pair for about a year. The hinge connecting to the ear cup broke in the middle of a gig. So I had to one ear it the remainder of the night.

To be honest, I am rough on headphones though. I’m on my 5th pair in about 2.5 years. I’m currently rocking Ultra Sone DJ1 S Logic Headphones. At first I was unsure about the Ultra Sones, but I’ve grown to love them.

I worked in one place for 5 months where all they had was one earpiece , it was all the thing back in the day.

We are so spoiled with rotating, flexing, hinging, heavy duty headphones these days :-).

I tried the new Tiesto headphones by AKG at Musikmesse and have to say they are REALLY comfy as I have a big head.
However I think they will be more on the expensive side…

My Beats Pro are pretty comfy just a little heavy but they’re pretty durable… and fits me perfectly.. My first headphones were the Beats Solo HD and those would squeeze the hell out of my head.
