Well for the price of the MC2000 the MC2000 is really good.
If you really want to upgrade I would recommend to look into something like a Terminal Mix 8, Vestax VCI 400 or Pioneer DDJ-SR.

Secondly: I doubit it. The Behringer has such a bad noise ratio (at least all I tried and they have HUGE variations) that it will sound badly over a PA.

Plus, the build quality isn’t that good. It won’t last nearly as long as the ones Terry mentioned for instance.

We’ll I’ve used the 4a through PA before at police calling volumes and the sound came through crisp and clear…so can’t comment on that and the denon is 4250ZAR same price as an N4 so next question compare those the numark n4 or denon mc2000

Where do you shop for controllers? You have different prices than where I live. At your place the Numark is less expensive than over here and all the others are more expensive. The Numark is better than the Denon I’d say, but it is getting a bit old. Maybe you can find something newer with more capabilities in the same price range.

The N4 is even cheaper than the DDJ-SB, which is fairly limited. What software will you be using? It’s no use if you buy a cheap controller and it doesn’t come with the software you want to use. It’ll be more expensive in the end.

Quite frankly I think the “comes with software X” thing is not worth your effort in the decision making process. You need to check if your preferred controller supports your preferred software (natively if possible, or through the community/forum). Upgrades from LE versions to full versions are often just about as expensive as buying a full version, plus if you ever decide to sell your controller, you need to sell the software with it too. Whereas when you buy a full version, it’s yours to keep and will work with all supported controllers for that software.

Apart from trying out a few things, the LE, Essentials, Light or whatever “free” versions come with a controller are usually so severely restricted that you will end up buying the full version anyway to unlock all of your controllers potential.

    Hope that helps.

Have a look at the Reloop Beatmix 4. It is shipping with free Serato DJ (the full version not the intro) “for a limited time”. It also has great hardware features. The only disadvantage is that it has no inputs (other than mic) and only one RCA output. I don’t own one, I am seriously considering one for myself and reviews are quite promising.

Agreed, it’s a real controller controller. Not even an aux fall-back. My advice if you decide to use the beatmix outside of whatever room you practice in, would be to buy a small PA mixer (4-6 channel with rotary knobs is already fine) and hook the controller as well as an iPhone/iPad for backup up to it. You will now have balanced outputs as well.
