Hard to advise on cans, it’s (arguably) one of the most personal choices you can make. Many things come into the mix. And telling you which is “better” thus is equally impossible.

You are in a price-frame with quite a bit to choose from, so that is good news.

Other than that the best advice I can give you, if possible, is to find a large (DJ/Music) store, bring your own music that you know well and just spend an afternoon trying various models out.

depends if you want heavy bass… a lot of them have too much bass for my liking.

as said… best to try them.

cant remember the price of them… but I have audio technica m50 headphones. which is also great for producing.

having had production tuition the m50 headphones quality are between their rubbish Behringer speakers, and their Genelec speakers in their studio.

Very much personal taste. I have Audio Technica monitor headphones and wouldn’t use anything else. I definitely wouldn’t want some bass thumping cans; kick drums are rarely completely atonal and “dull” enough that they mix together lazily.
