dj tech imix reload, awesome controller, good price. actually built to a higher standard than the S4.

Can you also suggest some dj headphones with a heavy but clear bass, can swivel and has good isolation. Thank you! What’s the difference between the imix reload and the imix reload mk2?

try the numark red waves. you can get em online for around 65$. solid isolation, heavy bass, solid look, all for cheap

the mk2 has a built-in audio interface. I was not impressed with the interface, there were frequent audio drop outs when loading a track. the regular imix as controller is very good though. there are some options for budget audio interfaces, and one thing I am sure of is that I want my controller and my interface separate. the reason for this is because I will use the interface for things other than djing, recording, sampliing, etc.
as for headphones, in todays world, i think there are many in ear options that for me at least, are preferable to headphones.

My budget for the headphones are $200. Can you suggest some good DJ headphones sub $200.
My budget for the DJ controller are $400. Any suggestion, please?

Not that cheap, I was thinking about the Reloop RHP-20 from what I heard it’s below $200 and that’s exactly my budget is! Does the Reloop RHP-20 have good sound quality, specifically mentioning the the punchy bass I love from headphones.

I think the RHP-20s are great headphone, but you could also look at the two DJ1 models from Ultrasone (of which I prefer the non-pro ones), and the A&H XD2-53s which I like too .

Thanks Phil, really helped me allot! So I’ve read and watch the reviews of the Ultrasone DJ1 and A&H XD2-53 and it was great, the question is every time I watch you I always see some nice set of speakers, the yellow ones. What are they? I’m just curious and I’m looking for some nice set of speakers.

    The yellow speakers are KRK-Rokits.

And those are really nice speakers, have them myself and very satisfied. Even though I only have the Rockit 6 Version, they have loads of bunch (and I do not use a subwoofer) and really good flat response, plus nice choice of connectors. They also have some forgiveness in them if you do not sweetspot 100% as I like to rock or roll around in my chair sometimes hehe

Sennheiser HD 215 are brilliant over ear headphones. Regardless of outside noise these always seem to perform extremely well!
Got them for $109AUD but I’m sure you can get them cheaper in the US.
