    Hey Stephen,

I tried to changed the file name (right click) but it is a compressed file and doesn’t allow me to change the file name or use the sample editor. I also thought if I load it onto a deck I could use the tag editor, but after changing the name and getting out of VDJ, the file name went back to their original names.

    Thanks anyway,

    Karlton

Hi Karlton. Don’t directly load the compressed sample pack into Virtual – you won’t be able to edit it. Decompress the pack, then you will be able to load each sample individually and edit them (including the name) with the Sample Editor.

    Todd,

Thanks for the reply. Just so I understand it (I’m a little slow on the uptake today!), once the compressed sample goes to my download file (remember it came from the VDJ add ons) how do I decompress it, right click and then what? Or do I need a separate app to do that?

    Thanks again for your reply,

    Karlton

Not sure what OS you’re on, but on any recent Windows machine you should be able to right click the downloaded file, select “extract all” and then pick your destination folder. That new folder will contain each of the samples, which you can then drag & drop into Virtual’s sampler and edit as you please.
