I just use a standad mixer case. They come in all sorts of sizes and widths, and all u gotta do is measure ur controller. My friend had a spare mixer case lying around from his band playing days and it works perfect for my gear

I own the mc3000 too and found a pretty good oddyssey case, at 350 dollars :S

If you have the money to buy a case as expensive as your controller, do it, it will work wonders and your equipment will last forever. (Not as if this will be the last controller you will buy in your life)

Following that line of thought, I just measured my controller, went to a carpentry and asked them to do a box made out of hard wood. I then bought an eva (i dunno if thats the name, by eva I mean that soft material that is used in the walls of recording studios and radios that can reduce hits), covered the inside of the box with it (remember to calculate the witdh of eva when asking for the box to be made) and you are all set. You can then paint it if you wish, or ask the carprentry to paint it (most do). You can even ask for a bigger wooden box with two compartiments to also place your laptop in.

Just be creative. I got a high quality custom made case for less than 70 bucks, when the oddyssey one costed 350 (and a bit more)
