KeymasterJust tried with my Firefox and it works.
Are you sure you are running the latest version of firefox, because some updates need the new HTML/5 routines.April 30, 2014 at 10:10 am #2025668DJ Vintage
ModeratorYeah, and IE is suffering from a MAJOR security leak. To the point where several official agencies have advised against using IE til the hole is plugged.
Then again, Rizki, it IS kinda peaceful when you are quiet for a bit. 😛

Participantits working again for me too.
over the last 2 weeks I’ve hit post 3-4 times only to have my writing disappear and no post appear.
then I posted a big reply with lots of youtube links which posted this morning and disappeared by this afternoon. still puzzled about that one, scratching it up to either too much server strain as all the links got embedded automatically OR because one of the videos contained swearing? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯for a while there I thought I’d inadvertently made an enemy out of a moderator type in quite possibly the friendliest forum I’ve ever participated in… stranger things have happened…
nice to be able to scrap that idea tho coz after reading this it seems more like a bug type thing…
Peace

ParticipantMy last visit to this site was nearly a year ago and in that time the forum still sucks. <ranting/bad language removed>
http://tinypic.com/r/33lf8ck/8
The old site was 10 times better. Although some complained they couldn’t register the majority of users had no problems with the old site. This new forum has removed all functionity of the old site and introduced new problems thus rendering the site useless.
Why re-invent the wheel? Why not use vbulletin like all other forums? End this experiement and either ensure the forum works as intended or end ths disaster.

ParticipantGlad to know Im not the only one with type of problem, i tot im goin insane
So is this our side bug or server bug?May 6, 2014 at 5:44 am #2026745Warsuit
ParticipantI wish I cod speculate on whether it is server-side or user-side…but I’ve been plagued by this for days now around here. For what it’s worth, this is the only site that gives me such issues…

ParticipantI had thought that my using flashblock, adblockplus, ghostery, noscript, httpseverywhere, & better privacy together was doing something, but I think its probably something happening on ddjt’s side as it seems to be completely random as to whether you can post.
maybe its just magical gremlins from the 7th dimension.

ModeratorHi all,
We are looking into the issues. A similar issues has been fixed on the blogside of things. There was a link established between using an external editor and the occurence of the posting problem. When typed directly in the reply box the problem didn’t seem to occur.
Those of you having these problems, could you please help us solve the issue by:
* Telling us if you are using an external editor to type your replies
* If you can reproduce the problem by typing directly into the reply box
* If this happens with plain text replies or only with replies including links or other cut/paste information
* When this happens, let us know when (date/time) and where (what forum) and what postingWe will pass this on to the development team. The more precise information we can provide them with, the better the chance they can pinpoint and fix the problem.
Thank you all in advance for your help and apologies for the inconvenience.
@ Hamza: The old site wasn’t better and not some people were having problems with it, but lots! We are not reinventing the wheel, but we do want a nice forum that has all the bells and whistles for our members. The focus up til last month has been on the release of the Digital DJ Masterclass. Now that is over, we are working hard in the background to streamline the forum. So, have faith and a little more patience.
The issue about not being able to post is recent, known and being worked on.
Greetinx.

Participanthey vintage,
just tried commenting on the quadruple your harmonic mixing article, I use firefox and I had the ‘noscript’ add on set to ‘forbid scripts globally’ and the ‘flashblock’ add on enabled. posted and nothing happened. I set ‘noscript’ to ‘allow scripts globally’ and disabled ‘flashblock’ refreshed the page, retyped my comment, posted it, and it appeared straight away.
So probably that was a user error 😛
thought I’d mention it anyway, ‘flashblock’ & ‘noscript’ seem to cause issues on many websites.
Peace.

Participant* Telling us if you are using an external editor to type your replies
Not sure what is the external editor is? I just typed normally into this box* If this happens with plain text replies or only with replies including links or other cut/paste information
Just plain text replies, At one time, I typed in plain text replies, when i hit submit button, it didnt do nothing, so i re-typed it again manually but before i hitted the submit button i highlights my reply first copy it (just in case it didnt post after i hit submit again) and then when i hit the submit button again for the second time nothing happened, so for the third try i pasted my comment and hit submit again and once again nothing being posted itPS I did try to post again from my phone, the browser I used was the built in one, and no luck from there also
