Just pointing out i live in Southern Illinois as well. About an hour drive to stl and soon gonna be moving to belleville fairview area. In which ill be djing in Stl quite often. totally random but we should collab sometime… as far as your subject im 21 so i cannot ellaborate on your underage issue, with that said get a bigger social circle offer to do college partys for little to no money to get your name out there and once u start getting a following start upping the price and the game.

As for PA: there should be more than enough PA rental services, just include the rental fee in your fee and try to collaborate with one of the renting companies. You might in the end even get referral gigs from them.

I know a guy who is 19 and spins in a 24 hour after hours club here in Toronto, age shouldn’t be an issue… Except for the fact America has this silly 21+ drinking rule which could change things.

It depends on the liquor licence. If the venue is 21+ then technically I don’t think you can legally work there but clubs aren’t exactly known for always doing everything by the book…

Virginia is very strict on the age 21 alcohol consumption rule, but they ID and arm band everyone at the door, enabling 18 yrs and up to go in clubs, but not drink. I hope your state does the same thing. That would enable you to do your thing without consuming alcohol. Good luck…

I’m 20 and I’ve spun at a few 21+ places, the bouncers and especially bartenders at least in my experience never seem to question me so just play it by ear. If age isn’t brought up don’t bring it up.
