    Well the DDJ SX is untested yet but looks promising. It also resembles CDJs very nicely from what it seems and you will find most features in different places on the CDJ 2ks. Also you may not be a controllerist, but the extra features are something to expand on and also non-controllerists use F/X and samples.

    I also never had the XDJ Aero, but the workflow seems very different from CDJs and as a personal factor I am not so fond of rekordbox and also dislike WiFi in clubs. (I tried to use touchOSC a few times and it got me into trouble in one gig…)

    I think you have to decide first if you want to go CDJ or controller.
    At this time I see nothing the Beatmix cannot do for you as well as any 1k controller.

    I’ve used a vestax vci 100 and it was solid as a rock so I’d expect nothing less from the 400. The XDJ Aero seem to throw up some issues around the wifi (go to the pioneer DJ forum) RekordBox can also be problematic, I use it and it took some work to get it stable. The DJ sx looks like a quality bit of kit, something I would take a close look at. Gemini always gets bad press but my very first mixer was a Gemini and my brother has it in his den now still going strong.
    Like Terry said you need to decide if you want to be have a multi format platform from from CDMP700 of pure midi of a controller. If you go with a controller you then need to think which DVS you’re going to use. The DJ sx is attractive with Serato DJ and the free video upgrade with the first 10000 units.

    I went for multi format to cover all my bases.

    thanks guys leaning towards the gemini still going to wait for phil’s review and the first impressions for the sx
