    If you want relatively easy to use software, and the full version, why not consider Algoriddim’s djay? Nice price and it leaves you more money to put into a controller. There’s quite a few natively supported, and it’s got a easy midi mapping app if it’s not supported. List of supported controllers here:

    So as far as Beatmix or Mixage controllers go what exactly is the main differences besides one is mapped for VDJ (Beatmix) and Mixage is mapped for Traktor Pro though I’ve seen the Beatmix using Trakto pro as well and read that Beatmix can also be mapped for Serato DJ as well. Besides the software the differences what really distinguishes the new Beatmix from the Mixage really? I know the Mixage has channel Vu meters and Beatmix doesn’t. Beatmix has a few more outputs/inputs than Mixage.

    But as far the mixing controls is one really better than the other?

    I’m into just mixing trance/progressive trance music with no scratching whatsoever. Is Beatmix any better or different than Mixage? They seem to be very similar as far as what they have so not really sure which one to pick at this time. I know Beatmix comes with VDJ LE pulse I’ve seen it used with Traktor pro and read that it can also be mapped with Serato DJ as well. So it pretty much covers all the major players. Is there any advantage to going with the Mixage for my situation compared to Beatmix?

    do you need to start 5 threads all asking the same thing? This website is getting boring with all the “what should I buy” threads…

    That depends what you expect and want.

    They are really 2 very different controllers. I would head to the reloop website and look which of the controllers layout looks better to you. Both will get the job done.

    beatmix has 600 tpr, mixage and the jockey 2 both have 128 tpr

    tpr = ticks per revolution

    i’m not sure if anyone has said this, but remember: it’s better to decide on the software you want to work with, then decide what controller you want to use that software with. or that’s what i’ve been told, and that’s how i chose mine.
