    There is no one of answer for that one. I am sure you’ll be getting a lot of advice from other producing readers, but at the end of the day it’s about budget, workflow and personal taste I think.

    Your laptop and a pair of headphones/speakers. Period.

    If you know music theory, add in a MIDI keyboard. Build on this as you learn.
