I wonder what he has done to wear out the center logo on the jogs, probably used it while wearing a ring or bracelet or something I guess.
In general you can buy this stuff second-hand, as it generally tends to be used in bedroom practice only with perhaps the occassional house party. Scratch marks like these would worry me if they were clear wear signs around faders for example (those that have seen club DJMs know exactly what I mean).
Missing caps can be replaced easily enough, although to be missing a cap like that could be (another) indication of how this unit was treated. Do you have the option of seeing the gear before you buy?
