Memberthanks for replying guys. simon ill take a good look on the omni control and will get back to you on that. Phil. I read the entire guide and was very happy with what i saw about the mixtrack pro, great controller. But I didn’t find anything about the X1 in it. So i’m still kind off confused, a little help with the X1 please

KeymasterYou’ve hear right about X1. It is preferred by DJs who play in small DJ booths because it means they can use the existing club mixer and this their gear takes up less space.

MemberBut how about a starter DJ. What would you reccomend for a setup: A X1 with a Mixer (Im not a big fan of turntables). Or a Numark Mixtrack Pro.

ParticipantIf you miss the jogg on X1 and has a mixer and want a solid metal pice of gear top quality?
Check out the Denon SC2000

MemberThanks. I’ve heard alot about the Denon Dn-SC2000. But im ruling out the X1, im going for a full controller with the jogs. But still havent decided. Maybe the Mixtrack Pro, but the I hate the fact that it’s plastic. I saw the 2012 DJ Controllers Ultimate Buyer’s Guide, and it got me very confused. Cause I have a budget and still can’t decide. Really confused now.

MemberBecause the Traktor X1 I need a Soundcard and a mixer to complete the setup and thats a bigger cost, depending on the mixer of course, and I wouldn’t like a bad setup. I’ve been checking the Reloop Controllers, what do you think about those?

MemberI think I will buy the Mixtrack Pro. It’s a great piece of equipment, used it already and works like a charm. But the one issue I have is the construction, although I can live with it, Im still trying to find one with a metal construction. If not, the Mixtrack Pro is my choice.

MemberFinally, I narrowed it down to these 3 controllers (Which I think are the cheapest and the best at their price, well for begginers also): Reloop Mixage IE, Reloop Digital Jockey 2 IE (I would go for the Digital Jockey 3 but price exceeds my budget, great controller though) and my favourite for now Numark Mixtrack Pro. Any opinions?

MemberPersonally I like the Mixtrack Pro, especially as it gives you the option to use Serato Intro in addition to the usual programs.

MemberHi lew, thanks for replying, so you prefer the mixtrack pro over the mixage and digital jockey 2?
December 18, 2011 at 1:13 am #11598DJspin
MemberMixtrack Pro is also my favorite, my only complaint is the plastic construction, and the reloops are completely metal. so thats my problem. So just to narrow it down more. Which is better the mixage or digial jockey 2?

KeymasterIf I had a choice there Id go for DJ2, but it is more expensive.

MemberThats right Phil, thanks for the response, but it isnt much more expensive, just a little higher price which I think I can fit into my budget. So you think it’s better than the mixage & the mixtrack Pro?
