    I also noticed something like that. But that were tracks that were re released on a compilation album. So a certain label releases a best of 2013 album and the tracks on that compilation cost E 1.56. But the price on the original EP is 1.30.
    To answer your question. People who don’t know that that tracks is re released. There the one’s who are going to spend more. It is a little sneaky but those things happen in sales. Or you should be willing to check each track you buy

    Hello Eliah,

    To me, Beatport is ridiculous. It’s over-priced, and you can get most of the tracks offered there on DJ record pools or iTunes for cheap.

    And even though there may be some Beatport-exclusive tracks, they won’t stay exclusive for long, either that, or they will sound exactly the same as any other of their Top-100 tracks.

    I recommend using a DJ pool. Pay a monthly fee and get the latest tracks and unlimited downloads as well as remixes and mashups. Digital DJ Tips goes further into detail in their article:

    I think the “re-release” priced higher is aimed at those who aren’t looking. The ones who don’t search deeply enough to see there are inexpensive past releases. 😉

    I joined digitalmusicpool.com as someone suggested earlier and found it to be great. Calculating the number of downloads I have made versus an average cost, I would have spent hundreds more than the $15 bucks I spent. Well worth the deal. I have not checked or tried beatports. In fact I have never tried Itunes either and everyone seems to swear by it. What is the average cost of a track on there? And what are the benefits of/drawbacks as opposed to a DJ pool?

    Just trying a few sites for music. I have the usual BeatPort, iTunes and Spotify. Just trying out a few DJ Pools. digitalmusicpool.com etc. What do you think of Youtube as a good source ?

    Yeah, I’ll check out the pools. Though I tend to want to DJ with aiff or WAV.

    Actually what pool does Tech-House, Minimal, Techno? I’m not really up to spinning top 40 dance.

    Precisely why I stopped with record/music pools. 😉

    I think they rock if you’re into mainstream and/or are working the bar/mobile route. For the underground folk it’s still on the old fashioned ways of seeking.

    I have to 100% agree with D-Jam.
    Buying that one mainstream song per month that you really need is 99ct.
    The rest I do not get with pools…

    Too I can’t complain that much about digital purchase prices. Buying 12″ records back in the day was like…$15 or more a pop!

    I spin lots of hardcore, hardstyle and, Drum and Bass sets. The only place with an actually up to date selection as far as I can tell is imorecords, but they’re pretty expensive as their prices are in Pounds. Though, I used to get some really good vinyl deals from them. It was still cheaper to ship it all over than to buy at stores here (which never had that style of music anyways).

    I was born in 86 so the game was before my time, but it’s a classic that was [i]way[/i] ahead of it’s time IMO. It was the first arcade game ever to feature stereo sound and a 49 way directional joystick. As a programmer, it completely blows my mind what they managed to accomplish in 1982!

    I was born in 73. I’ll never forget in the late 70s when I went to this combination Mall/Amusement Park named “Old Chicago”. They had the first video games ever.

    I agree on blown away as well…from Pong to the Atari 2600 to C64 to Windows…it’s been an amazing evolution.

    Wow, just saw a $1.00 price difference between a 2013 track labelled Progressive House and the same track again in 2014 labelled Tech House.
