    I am not sure if your controller supports Buspower. If it does try out ipad or tablet if u have one. Or use Algoriddim dj on iPod touch and use it as a controller, again if you have one.
    The worst but still viable option is just casual mp3, with premade mix (do it at home on a daw or somewhere and save it as mp3).
    If you have PA mixer u can go with mp3 + mic. ( you say something in between the songs)

    If nothing suits you …then you’re screwed

    Your MC3000 has a dedicated Line In that is ideal for plugging a MP3 player or CD Player (iPod or whatnot) as a back-up. Since the MC3K is not bus powered, i.e. had a dedicated power supply, you can continue to feed audio through the MC3K in the unforeseen event something interrupts your laptop. This will allow you to minimize any interruptions until you reboot the laptop.
