Participanti have one more thing to ask π
when looking for a pair of headphones is there certain Frequency Response, Sensitivity, Impedance, or Voice Coil i should look for?? thanksFebruary 13, 2012 at 6:32 pm #14839DJspin
MemberSure it can be mapped for Traktor. Look for mappings in google or any of these forums. I only go for Sound quality (A good balance between the bass and the highs), the build quality is the most important, DJ headphones break VERY EASILY, there are only a handful of headphones that don’t break easily. and Value, many headphones are overpriced maybe because of design or more commercial like the beats, etc. Go for that: Sound, Build Quality and Value.

MemberI’m also interested in starting to DJ a bit and try it out. Since I don’t know if I will continue with it and doesn’t have a lot of money, I’m wondering if there are other, cheaper but still okay options out there? How is the Behringer BCD3000, I’ve heard behringer isn’t a good brand and often breaks or stops working.. :O Thanks! π

MemberWell I really disagree with that. The Behringer Xenyx series is great, along with the EuroLive speakers, the BCD3000 works perfectly with me. They are coming out with a new mod gear series all in ones great, and some headphones. I believe they are great quality its just that they always go for the beginner cheaper part of the market, so people who already are into DJing think behringer sucks only cause its main target are beginners. Trust me Behringer is fine. Ive had the BCD3000 for 4-5 months now I think and no problems. Works great. And for $120 well, no one beats that price.

Well good for you that you are satisfied π WhatΒ΄s the difference between BCD2000 and 3000? :O And is the 20 euro extra worth it for a Mixtrack? What are the main differences between a mixtrack and BCD3000? π Thanks for your reply!

MemberFirst Lundgren. Well the BCD3000 Is mostly the same, only that I think the BCD2000 had some issues with software and windows/mac stuff. Well the Mixtrack doesn’t have a soundcard so you’ll have to get that separately (the Mixtrack Pro does have a soundcard but it cost more) the BCD3000 does have a soundcard at that price. So the mixtrack is more expensive cause you have to buy the soundcard separately.
Mixtrack doesn’t have a soundcard, the BCD3000 does.
The Mixtrack has better jogwheels though, if you find jogwheels as a necessity, get the mixtrack.
The BCD3000 cost $120 including a soundcard, the mixtrack $140 plus the Soundcard expense which might be from $50 to $100 more. so the Mixtrack is maybe around $190-240 in price.
The other differences are mainly small, not very important.March 27, 2012 at 11:17 pm #17460shr3dder
MemberDO NOT BY A BCD2000.
I had one once. I literally gave it away… and I still felt like I’d ripped the guy off.

MemberJonathon Brewer: About speakers I don’t know much. Maybe JBL & Yamaha they have good speakers, but at that budget I can only think of Behringer EuroLive series which I’ve heard good things. Check them out on Amazon. Lights? check Chauvet’s website. I only know chauvet.

Yeah the bcd2000 sucked, the bcd3000 is waayyy better. It is the fixed improved good version, don’t let yourself think the bcd3000 sucks because of the failure of the bcd2000.

Mmmm you’re probably right, still I won’t buy Behringer products anymore as a result. Too many horror stories over the years.

MemberBut if I were you I’d do the same, one mistake with the company and I’m done with them. Luckily for me my bcd3000 works perfectly so I can’t complain about Behringer.
March 28, 2012 at 12:03 pm #17483Lundgren
MemberWell, I’m going to try out this Behringer BCD3000 and with three years warranty from Thomann, I feel like I have nothing to lose rly, if I continue for more then three years I will probably upgrade my gear. π
