MemberStill don’t know, I believe in a couple of months, If you want to start NOW. You could buy the mixtrack pro which is around 200euros, but that’s your entire budget, so my opinion, get the Behringer BCD3000 and some nice headphones. Headphones is something you should never go cheap, because they will last you only a couple of days, get a good pair of headphones.

ParticipantHey guys, I read through this and I have one more question to ask, well two :P. Which digital DJ software is the best, and if my budget is a little bit more ($400 ish) and i want to make electro house mixes, which mixer would be best, i am also a beginer and I am in Canada.
thanksFebruary 2, 2012 at 7:59 pm #13963Hee Won Jung
ParticipantFor EDM music…Traktor is hands down the best software. It doesnt matter what anyone else tells you Traktor Pro 2 is THE BEST. For around 450 you can buy a Kontrol S2 which includes the full version of Traktor Pro 2.
Best setup imo for EDM DJs…unless you can afford the Kontrol S4

MemberALEX, the Native Instruments Kontrol S2 is a great controller which cost around $700, it was recently lowered to $399 for a short period of time, buy this one now, it comes with Traktor Pro 2 which is a GREAT software for mixing, just get the s2 and some headphones like the Numark RedWave which are cheap and this will cost you around $450. And you will have a good setup.

ParticipantHee Won Jung, is there anything a little cheaper but is a good competitor to the Kontrol S2, because I still have to get speakers and headphones :p

MemberYou’ll have to get Monitor Speakers look for them in amazon, search monitor speakers and you’ll find some good ones. These will be at least $150 or more. You need to get headphones which will need to be cheap, my reccomendation, get the Numark RedWave or the American Audio HP700. Controller, maybe the Numark Mixtrack Pro will do you good. BEST CONTROLLER FOR BEGINNERS OUT THERE

ParticipantI was thinking of getting the Numark Mixtrack Pro, but is the Virtual DJ LE software that comes with it good? Because i bought the hercules dj control mp3 e2 and it came with virtual dj djc, and I did not like it i returned it the next day. And is there any good headphones for a little bit cheaper :p

MemberI’m fairly certain MixTrack Pro supports Serato Intro now. I think you’ll like that better than what VDJ has to offer at that controller level.

MemberMixtrack Pro switched VDJ for Traktor LE I believe, and now is supported by Serato Intro which are much better options than Virtual DJ. Get the Mixtrack Pro. Seriously, you can’t get any acceptable headphones for less than $60. Mine cost around that price which are the American Audio HP700, Ive had them for a month and they work fine. The Numark RedWave cost less than $70 and are pretty good actually, bro trust me, don’t get any cheaper headphones, your sound quality will be horrible and they won’t last you 2 days, first because you’ll want to smash them because they suck, and second because they will probably break. Don’t get headphones cheaper than $60.

ParticipantIn North America theMixtrack pro comes with VirtualDJ, only the european ones come with tracktor. And the RedWave headphones are $149 Canadian. I wish i lived in europe 🙁

MemberCheck Amazon, the RedWaves are from $70 to $90 there, then buy Traktor Pro 2, or download Serato Intro. People don’t tend to listen me in this but whatever I’m just gonna throw it out there, my controller is the Behringer BCD3000, its and old controller but it works fine, does the job, and does it well, it comes with traktor LE. Just sayin… If not get the MixtrackPro and buy Traktor Pro2.

ParticipantI got Traktoe Pro2, but which type should i pick. 2 deck, 2deck scratch, 4 deck, 2 deck+2 samples scratch, 2deck+2samples.
:p i dont know which one to pick or does it matter, can i change the option later in settings. (havent bought a mixer yet just downloaded the program)February 3, 2012 at 2:13 am #14030DJspin
MemberDo you have the complete software or do you have a Limited Version? For starting? 2 decks only. It does matter, 2 decks mixes only 2 decks, 4 decks mixes 4 decks, 2 and 2 includes 2 sample decks, and Traktor Scratch is a whole other software you might say, it is programmed differently, made for timecodes, vinyl, etc. Just choose 2 deck normal no scratch.

Participantwell I torrented it, and I believe its the complete software. Is there a way I can tell, does it say LE or somethin :P.
And okay but if I would want to change it to say 2+2, can I?? -
