    How is your setup hooked up? Controller, speakers, etc.

    You have started your laptop before conecting your soundcard.
    Look at the soundcard settings in your software and if that is correct look at the soundcard settings in your laptop.

    You must start and connect your soundcard (controller) B4 starting your software!
