This is definitely somekind of driver problem, most likely USB mainboard drivers and Audio drivers competing.
What brand of laptop is it and what model? If you have a model number even better.

    Thanks for replying!

It’s a Dell XPS 15 (9560). Really hope to solve this.

Ah now there is your problem right there. The USB 3 slot in the new XPS series is a legacy USB 3 PowerShare slot. If the laptop needs more power it looses power on that bus slot.
Try connecting a powered USB hub to the computer and your A6 to that USB hub. (You can take cheap old USB 2 hubs as the A6 is only capable of USB 2 anyways.) Try if it is working then.

    Thanks! I’m gonna try this.

I hoped that if the power cable is connected to the laptop there wouldn’t be any glitches, but that’s not the case unfortunately. Don’t really feel like connecting a USB hub, since it’s yet another device I have to bring to gigs, but I guess there’s no other way.

    Thanks for helping!

    It’s solved!

I put my specs here, so people with the same laptop and problems can find this thread.

    Dell XPS 15 (9560)
    Intel Core i7 7700hq
    16GB DDR4 RAM
    Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050

I checked my latency with LatencyMon and there were several drivers and software causing latency. One of them was Dell System Detect. I uninstalled that. That helped a bit.
Then I installed new drivers for my wireless network card, internal sound card, GPU and thunderbolt controllers from the Dell website. I thought I had the latest, but there were a couple of newer versions. I don’t think installing the new drivers helped much.

Then I started DJing with Traktor while running LatencyMon again. I noticed that when I use the laptop without the power cable there is higher latency.

I followed these Windows optimization tips: https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/pc-optimization-guide-for-windows-10/
That helped a lot! I think a couple of USB power management settings caused most of the problems, so you’ve definitely been pointing me in the right direction.

Now I’ve played for an hour and didn’t hear a glitch. However, LatencyMon still says that there are a couple of drivers causing a high latency, though much lower than before and it’s not noticeable. Most of them have to do with the WiFi card. To be extra safe while performing it’s best to turn that off in the device manager. I checked it and my latency is much lower now.

    Thanks so much for helping!
