Just shortcommings due to the way I work. For example the way I place loops and quantize them to fit my speed, match their harmonics etc. was not as easily displayed and tweakable as in Logic or Ableton.
Ableton of course is the king of quantize, where I love logic however is the workflow how deep you can dig into a single track/loop and alter it or beef it up with your own synths and effects. This is where logic is miles ahead of anything I have tried. But many people tell me they do not need that at all.
Also direct recording from the soundcard, adding VST or virtual gear (like virtual mics, compressors, guitar amps,…) in Logic is what I like and you can alter it to your hearts extend.
Hop on my soundcloud and check out the “All along the watchtower” cover I made as a demo with one of my students in Logic. http://soundcloud.com/terry_42/all-along-the-watchtower
All the instruments on the song (except drums) were played with the same guitar and then altered and drums added by simple dragging in the beats (I not even used Maschine for it).
