The Mods are omnipresent and read everything. Just like everybody else, Deathy has no direct line to us (well actually he does outside the forums to me, but that’s another issue). Unfortunately our forum does not support user messaging.
And as Deathy said, we will -normally- fill in the reason we mod a post.
I would also like to point you to the top sticky in each forum, called “Forum Tips & Tricks” (http://www.digitaldjtips.com/topic/forum-tips-tricks/), which holds a few good tips about posting on these forums.
One of which is about creating a string of mixes. Rather than posting each one as a new post, and ending up with a load of posts spread over many pages, you should make one post with a clear title. You can then add your new mix to that post every time. It will automatically bounce to the top (the ONLY time it’s allowed to bounce posts on the forums!). People only have to subscribe to this one post to receive notification when a new comment or mix is added.
So instead of Ghetto Funk, Ghetto Funk 2, (presumably) Ghetto Funk 3, make something like “The Ghetto Funk Mixes”.
You could still do that easily now for your next mix. In the first post tell people a little about your motivation, the reason you picked this genre and what you are trying to achieve (could be as simple as wanting to share with other DJs).
Invite people to subscribe to your post if they like your mix. Always helps to offer some quid pro quo, i.e. promise to listen to their stuff if they have something up and comment on that.
Refer to the two older posts like this:
My first two mixes can be found here:
Ghetto Funk: http://www.digitaldjtips.com/topic/1st-ghetto-funk-mixx/
Ghetto Funk 2: http://www.digitaldjtips.com/topic/another-try-at-ghetto-funk/
And off you go. All neat and efficient and the best way to keep your mixes together in one place. Someone that comes in after 5-6 mixes can easily listen to all of them, without having to search through the forum.
