ParticipantSounds a bit amateur. At the beginning the piano sounds really cheap, try to add some reverb and change the velocity to make it sound more “real”. The melody itselfs isn’t bad at all, at 1:11 it’s really good with more layers but you need to work a lot your mix, it takes a lifetime to learn how to mix properly… But everytime you learn something new you’ll make better songs !
What do you use with FL Studio ? For your synths, pianos etc…

ParticipantThis was made in DEMO FL, I am getting the full version in a few days, then I will use Massive too. As I say this was made in demo I think I used FL keys or they sytrus. But I am an amateur, I am 13 so I do still have a lot to learn but in my latest track the piano sounds better!

ParticipantBut thanks for the feedback! 🙂

ParticipantNo problem ! Massive is kinda complicated for a first VST though I think. LennarDigital’s Sylenth1 is incredibly powerfull just like Massive, and a bit easier if you start – it doesn’t work the same way. Learning to use Sylenth1 will help you learning what is ADSR, which is important in sound designing if you want to use this type of VST. You can do a hell lot of things with it, so I’d rather tell you to buy Sylenth1 first ; it’s not very expensive and the possibilities are almost endless. I’d like to know what the other producers of the forum think about this advice
Even though I think Sylenth user are more into House style (just as I do), and you seem to be into Drum’n’Bass, it doesn’t really matters, you can perfectly use it. I use it for Progressive House, Trance and even Nu-Disco songs myself. 🙂
Also if you want good links to learn a few important things I have some, just ask ! It will be a pleasure to help a new young producer, plus you are only 13 so you have a lot of time to learn 🙂

ParticipantOh, and Aaron, I quite liked your piano melody. That was uh.. better suited for trance actually. 🙂 Please let me know if you would be interested in a collaboration.

ParticipantXavier, I have bought the Sylenth1 and it is ABSOLUTELY well worth the money! It is surely more than enough to get you started in Electronic Music production. I haven’t used Massive so can’t say much on that. But IMHO the Sylenth is the best sounding synth out there. Do you mind sharing some of your links here, Xavier? [I’m 14 BTW]

ParticipantThanks for all the feedback guys, I will get the sylenth 1 instead 🙂 I do make trance stuff too and electro I play about with FL and see what I come out with in the end, I have made a nice trance track which i’ll release too!
And Dj Cheeku I would be delighted to do a collab! 🙂August 19, 2014 at 6:46 pm #2049452siddharth.jha.email@gmail.com

ParticipantAaron, I like the melody to the song. As Xavier mentioned, the song does have that “boxy” feeling, but since you’re getting new VST in, it shouldn’t be a problem once you start tweaking it.

ParticipantYeah once I get new VST’s my tracks will sound better, In my newest song I made it way more trancey so it sounds a lot better!

ParticipantKeep at it, impressive, especially for someone who’s just starting out. I enjoyed it but don’t have much feedback to give in regards of improvement as I can’t produce yet lol. Good luck for future mixes!
