    Why not get a set of KRK 6s with a subwoofer?

    Throwing an expensive amp at cheap speakers makes no sense, nor does buying another el cheapo amp. Just get yourself some decent active speakers (like the KRK 6s) and add the sub later if you feel you need the extra umph.

    My only problem with that is the money. Currently a pair of KRK 6’s are $400. I understand where you’re coming from though. Maybe I can wait a bit longer to fund the KRK 6s.

    You can probably get a set of used G2s for not so much money from someone who upgraded?
